MEC 512 Leads L063 over the Great Bay |
| Description: |
L063 with MEC 512 - MEC 5948 and 14x0 rolls slowly over the bridges at Great Bay in Stratham, NH after the crew brought the train down from Dover and quickly ran around the consist at Rockingham Junction. Having no knowledge of what the train would have for power, I was quite worried I'd get double blobs after hearing 5948 addressed on the yard on the scanner but was relieved once I heard the K3L of the GP40-2LW after the runaround. Double blues or CSX would be preferred but at least the leader was decent! The crew will set off the hopper on the runaround track upon reaching Portsmouth Yard then pick up three lumber loads for Boise and continue to Newington for the afternoon. |
