Pull by |
Description: |
DL 2461, a C 425 reminiscent of the EL units that used to be common here, pulls past CP 2317 and its crew so the steamer can couple to the rear for its return trip. |

Birthday girl |
Description: |
My wife(she wasnt yet in this photo) was adventurous, so when I suggested we take a ride behind a steam engine, she was all for it. She posed with one of the drivers on UP 4012 here, four days after her birthday, showing how big they are. She had a good time that day, and would do it again. |

Looking good |
Description: |
If anything can improve on the appearance of an Alco, its a pretty blonde. Diane, now my wife, strikes a pose reminiscent of the old Railroad Magazine with the train from Scranton, power now changed for the trip back. |

Ready to head back |
Description: |
To facilitate a more efficient move, the power was changed from CP 2317 to DL 2461 at Tobyhanna, eliminating the need for the Pacific to run backwards with the train on return to Scranton. The unit is right at home here, as it was once an EL unit, and trod this path routinely. |

NKP and Alcos too |
Description: |
The NKP unit is part of the Steamtown collection. Sometimes the historic look of the site is broken by interlopers, in this case an M 420 and C 425 of the road that does the freight work between here and Portland PA, the Delaware Lackawanna. |

Diesels too |
Description: |
Though these two are remarkable in that they represent two of the four FP 7s owned by Reading, and a unit that was a minority among the hordes of F 7s produced. Readings paint scheme is really attractive on this pair. For the steam fans, T 1 2124, a veteran of the well known Rambles, sits behind. |
