Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9690 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All are EH-15's built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9690 was constructed as an EH-15 in April of 1949, later regeared and classified as an EF-15A, and retired in October of 1967 after just 18 years of revenue service.

Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5692 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are B-1 (C) electrics built in Juniata and rated at 570 horsepower each. #5692 was constructed in December of 1934 and retired in May of 1967 after 33 years of faithful service. In this context, they're awaiting their next assignment at Penn Station in Harrisburg on 10 January 1957.

Here, they're parked in Pitcairn Yard ~ having been decommissioned ~ on 3 March 1957.

Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1361, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during May of 1918, retired in September of 1956 after amassing over 2,469,000 revenue miles, enshrined at the Horseshoe Curve on 8 June 1957, restored for excursion service during 1987-1988, withdrawn from service and disassembled because of safety concerns, and is now being restored again for further excursion service.

In this context, they're pulling Amtrak's version of the once-fabled "Broadway Limited" near Millerstown, Pennsylvania, in July of 1981.
