Album Info:Taken during summer 1995 of a Great Walton Rail freight train from Covington, GA to Machen, GA and return. The line has since been abandoned north of Newborn with the portion south of here only used for freight car storage. The Williams Brothers sawmill in Covington that shipped the woodchips closed in the 2000's and grain elevator in Newborn that received the covered hoppers has closed as well, which left the line without customers. The Chessie System chopped-nose GP9 seen here is preserved today on George's Creek Railway in Maryland.
