Album Info:I only worked the Ashland Local for a week in my entire railroad career, so I don't know these places very well. The EL had more than 180 places to spot a car in Ashland. That's quite a bit for a town of 22,000 people.

Description:  EL had a center siding here, hence the longer ties. One morning after an all night snow, we picked up 10 cars of rubber balls here. As we shoved back out to the main, the snow blew off the cars and the engineer could not see my fusee. He hit kind of hard. I coupled the air and walked toward the head end. Much to my dismay, 3 of the cars were buckled pyramid style. One was completely off it's trucks and in the air. The other two were only half off their trucks, but also in the air. The whole stack was leaning toward the westbound. #5, our westbound passenger train was held at the depot until the mess we made could be cleared. How embarrassing!
