Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide (converted to B&W) by an unidentified photographer that was taken at Potomac Yard in Alexandria, Virginia, on 8 January 1965. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4415, an E-44 (C-C) built General Electric in July of 1961 and rated at 4,400 horsepower. Note that both pantographs are in the "up" position. The road number of the GG-1 (2-C-C-2) at the left is not recorded. (Tchowee"; #2 of 27) |

Newark. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train near Newark, Delaware, during August of 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #4415 and #4435. Both are E-44's built by General Electric; #4415 was built in 1961, but #4435 was built in 1962. They are pulling a southbound mixed-cargo freight train. This photo taken near the three-track grade crossing at Milepost 35. |
