I lived in Malden for 2 years and have been waiting to shoot a steam engine here for a while. This is the first 4-8-4 through here since SSW 819 came through in 1990. The elevator in the distance is Bernie, MO, and the water towers barely visible on the horizon are in Dexter, MO, 16 miles north of here, and all straight track.

My family used to live in Campbell. My grandpa was the elementary school principal here for over a decade, and my dad graduated high school here. This is the first 4-8-4 through here since SSW 819 came through in 1990.
