Description:  PRR X56 88461 at BN's Cicero, Illinois yard on an unknown day in March 1980, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in February 1963, reweighed PU 5.74. According to the October 1971 ORER, this was one of 212 PRR class X56 double door boxcars in the 88251-88499 number series. This particular car is listed under Note 37 as follows: Individual numbers of cars in series 82100 to 82497, 88251 to 88499, 88501 to 88600, 111579 to 111699, and 607950 to 608623 equipped with racks for hauling automobile axles and differing in A.A.R. Mech. Designation from other cars in the same series: A.A.R. Mech Designation XP (Total cars, 31).
