Failed Mardi Gras Express
A Lavonia businessman had planned to start a gambling train service that would operate on the Hartwell railroad tracks. The train was to be called the "Mardi Gras express" and was painted these god awful colors in anticipation. The plan was shot down by the Lavonia local government. Not a smart plan, gambling brings revenue whether its the most desirable sort or not, which with the closing of the feed mill is something that will be sorely needed. Now the equipment sits with no clear future.
