Tom Beckett	General	This was one of the highest priority trains on the Overland Route at the time, and was a coast to coast operation for American President Lines. The trains ran a CR-Chicago/CNW-Fremont Neb/UP-Oakland route via the IHB in Chicago. They ran the Southern Tier Line from Jersey to Buffalo on CR, where I saw them often, and daily once they went to a daily schedule. In 1988, they were still running TV 301/303/305, on the Tier Sat/Thur/Fri respectively, the eastbound counterparts, TV 300/302 running on a less reliable timing at that end of the trip, mostly Saturday for TV 302, Weds for TV 300. These trains were a big deal at the time, and were among the first doublestacks.	2/5/2025 5:54:18 AM
