Headed north
This shot shows the Bayline Abbeville AL branch local headed north being led by a AN GP15-1 still in the classic AN scheme. Trailing behind the power is a long cut of chip hoppers for the chip mill in Abbeville, the life blood of this line. The rear of the train is passing over U.S. 431 in Headland. On the southbound trip, this area is a steep uphill climb and around a curve making for some good sounds of 4 axle power in notch 8.

Bernie Feltman General Very nice, Bryan. The airport "tree clearing project" really paid dividends here. Just need a blade now to smooth the right of way 12/19/2011 9:34:20 PM
