This car was built new as a Class Rr-W reefer with wood sides and ends in 1920. It was rebuilt with a steel super-structure and steel sheathing in the mid-1930s and the Rr-19s were further improved beginning in 1953. The biggest visual change was the replacement of the swing doors with plug doors.
