An ex-Reading SW900 shifts two GE Silverliner Mark IVs at Abrams Yard in October 1977. Although the Reading (and later Conrail) had a facility at Wayne Junction for most EMU repairs, all heavy work was done at the main railroad shops in Reading and the cars travelled in freight trains between greater Philadelphia and Reading. |
