| Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains between SLOPE and WORKS Towers in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 06 June 1965. Shown here are the roof of WORKS Tower in the foreground, the east- and westbound "passenger" tracks on the left, two westbound freight trains ready for dispatch, and two idling locomotives on the right. From what I understand, most of this has vanished. |
