MP GP38-2 2082
Missouri Pacific Railroad GP38-2 2082 crossing the White River at Cotter, Arkansas on December 13, 1988, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. For those not familiar with the lay of the land, the river below the train makes a 90 degree left turn and passes below the bluffs in the background. Before a dam was built upstream in the late 1940's, spring flooding would cause the river to rise to within a few feet of the bottom of the bridge. And yes the mobile home in the foreground would have been under water in the pre-dam era.
