Huntingdon. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Bill Price that was taken at the Passenger Station in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, on 7 October 1946. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6752, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built in Juniata during May of 1930 and retired in 1952 after 22 years of faithful service. It's pulling a mixed-cargo freight train through the Station on its way from Enola to Altoona and points West. Note the Railway Express truck parked next to the Station. |
