The 261 Passing The Former M&St.L/CNW Hopkins Depot
I was inspired by a photo of SP 4449 (which can be found on this site) at the Hopkins depot with the American Freedom train to try a similar shot with 261. Granted, the Milwaukee (now Twin Cities and Western) tracks are way over on the right, and the old Louie (now a Three Rivers Park trail. Let's have the rails and 4449 back instead!) and depot on the left, but the same principal still applies. Depot has been a coffehouse since 1998. Today 261 is returning in reverse from a trip to Colonge in honor of it's 100th anniversary. A further trip from there to Glencoe was also done this weekend.
