PRR Men. Here is a photo of Ken Sellers. After many years as a Fireman and Engineman on the Pennsylvania Railroad's Middle Division, he finished his career as a Hostler at the East Altoona Roundhouse. He's shown here in August of 1960 with PRR engine #5820, a BH-50 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as a BP-60 passenger engine rated at 3,000 horsepower in February of 1948, later regeared and reclassified as a 2,250 horsepower BH-50 for freight and helper duty, and retired in April of 1962 after just 14 years of revenue service. |
