This loco is a true boomer having bounced from one rr roster to another. Built by Alco in October of 1964 (serial #3392-06) as EL 2456, it left the EL and moved north to the BCOL roster as their 806. Next it came to the MHWA as their 806 and renumbered later back to 2456. Finally it landed in the Adirondack Rwy Preservation Society as ADIX 2456. The color slide was taken by an unknown photographer. |
