| As powerful as it looks in this photo, PRR 2-10-4 #6465 was just one of 125 PRR Altoona Shops built locomotives. These locomotives created 275 psi of boiler pressure and produced an impressive 95,484 lb of tractive force. The J1 class of 2-10-4's lasted until the late 1950's even though diesels were taking over the roster. This is a J.R. Quinn photo. |
