iCurve. Here is an image that was taken at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1920. Shown here is a Pennsylvania Railroad Class "H" (2-8-0) "Consolidated" steam locomotive rounding the Curve on its way up the Allegheny Mountains with a string of empty hoppers bound for the coal mines of Western Pennsylvania. Visible at the right is the Kittanning Point Freight Station. The photographer's name, the locomotive's road number, and the date are not recorded.
