Portraits 2. Here is a diesel locomotive portrait by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Chicago, Illinois, on 7 August 1966. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2630, a GF-25 built by General Electric as number "2530" in September of 1964, rated at 2,500 horsepower, and renumbered "2630" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. Partially visible at the right is PRR engine #2438, an AF-25 constructed by the American Locomotive Company in December of 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. (#10 of 30) |
