Mann. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Cove, Pennsylvania, on 1 January 1953. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5760 and another E-8 whose road number is not recorded. Both are EP-22's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #5760 was built in November of 1952. This A-A set is pulling a passenger train that's just crossed the Rockville Bridge on its way to Altoona and points West. ("PrrFan18n") |
