| This massive railroad crane is another jewel in the NYC RR museum. Originally this 250-ton capacity crane was built by the Brownhoist Company in 1946. The crane was based in Selkirk, NY and like all NYC equipment landed on the Penn Central roster followed by the Conrail roaster. It was donated by CR to the museum in 1997. It now carries the NYC RR Museum number of NNYX 45205. |
