With a crooked number plate, narrow gauge 2-8-0 60 sits on display at Idaho Springs during the mid-1950s. It was built by Rhode Island Loco in 1886 as Utah & Northern 263. U&N would become part of the OSL&UN in 1889. 263 would be sold in 1890 to the Denver, Leadville & Gunnison. 263 would pass to C&S in 1899 and become C&S 60. It was donated to the town of Idaho Springs in 1941. |
