"Altoona's Trolleys," Page 11, 1980
Here is page 11 of Benson W. Rohrbeck's 75-page monograph entitled "Altoona's Trolleys" that was published in 1980. Photo Caption: "Postcard view of the East Altoona Round House." Depicted in the foreground are the trolley tracks connecting Juniata (to the left) with Tyrone (to the right). Beyond the trolley tracks is a small portion of the left-to-right flowing Little Juniata River. The trolley right-of-way and the River crossed one another several times between Juniata and Tyrone. During the St. Patrick's Day Floods of 17-19 March 1936, the Little Juniata became a raging torrent that washed-away much of the line's right-of-way, leading to its eventual abandonment.
