MILW 2-8-2 #327         
Nearing the end of it service, the USRA heavyweight Mikado sits in front of an new EMD unit that marks its doom. Built by Alco-Brooks in September of 1918 as CM&StP 8617, it was renubmered in 1938 to MILW 327. The loco was retired in December of 1954 fter nearly 36 years of dedicated service, . Specs - L3 class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine wt of 320,000 lb and tractive effort of 62,949 lb. This is a Burns photo. No exact month and day was given for the photo so approximate date was used.
