| Unfortunately, Rochelle is not quite the hotspot that it used to be. With PSR, the UP has lost more than half of the trains that used to run on it. Most of which have been combined with other trains. That ended up giving us enough time to check into the Comfort Inn in town where we would be staying for the evening. But, the action did pick back up soon after as UP CATWS rolled into town. This coal train is a good example of a PSR move; two trains combined into one. The head 100 cars were marked for WEPX, two more units in the middle, another 100 company coal cars, then a rear DPU. No day is a good day to run a double coal train. |
