Shown here is Penn Central Railroad engine #1455, an F7A built by GM-EMD as PRR number "9668" in March of 1949, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and renumbered "1455" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-49). |
