Meadows. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Engine Service Tracks at Meadows Yard near Kearny, New Jersey. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4436, #4413, and four more units whose numbers are not recorded. All are E-44 (C-C) electrics built by General Electric and rated at 4,400 horsepower each. #4436 was built in April of 1962, while #4413 was constructed in May of 1961. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engine #4436 and another unit whose number is not recorded. #4436 is an E-44 built by General Electric during April of 1962. They are pulling a southbound mixed-cargo freight train through the North Philadelphia Station. |
